Many Carlsbad residents know that La Costa boasts impressive resorts and golf courses that draw thousands of visitors every year. Visitors and locals who have yet to pay a visit to the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa can book a tee time at the resort’s lush 36-hole golf course, and in true Carlsbad form, golf novices can learn a thing or two with the resort’s hands-on golf lessons. There are plenty of things for kids to enjoy too. Little ones can spend the day at Omni’s Kidtopia, where they can soak up in the sun at the pool and playground or head indoors to the comfortable movie theater. Head to the resort’s diverse dining options to enjoy everything from decadent steaks to s’mores by the firepit. Omni is home to dozens of events every month so keep a tab on the calendar.

There’s a new arthouse at the center of La Costa’s highly regarded La Costa Town Square. Residents and visitors can enjoy a brand new Cinepolis luxury movie theater, giving visitors an unforgettable experience while screening today’s blockbuster movies and old favorites alike. Cinepolis is not your average movie theater, featuring plush, leather reclining seats, concierge service, and a selection of cocktails and bites to see you through your movie. This is the second Cinepolis theater in La Costa, the first located on Paseo Real. For showtimes, visit the website

But before showtime starts, be sure to hit up the town square to support Carlsbad local businesses and stores or treat yourself at some of the area’s notable personal service providers. If a meal is in order, the town square features a variety of satisfying eateries for all tastes.

There is no shortage of active events in La Costa. From craft markets to concerts, The Forum hosts a variety of occasions. Check out the upcoming event calendar at eventsforumcarlsbad.com.
